1. About Quizify

Quizify is a free study application that generates multiple-choice practice quizzes on a topic you choose, explains the answers, and keeps a record of your scores so you can track your progress. Teachers can create classrooms and share quizzes with their students. This policy explains what data Quizify collects, why, and what we do with it.

2. Information we collect

Google account information. Quizify uses Google Sign-In as its only sign-in method. When you sign in we receive your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account. We use these to create and identify your Quizify account and to show your name on your dashboard, classroom rosters and leaderboards.

Google Drive files you choose. Quizify has an optional feature that generates a quiz from one of your own documents. If you use it, Quizify requests read-only access to your Google Drive so it can show you a file picker and read the single file you select. The contents of that file are used only to generate your quiz. Quizify does not modify, delete or upload anything to your Drive, does not browse or index your Drive in the background, and does not retain the file contents after the quiz has been generated. If you never use this feature, no file is ever read.

Learning activity you create in Quizify. The quizzes you generate, the answers you give, your scores, streaks, daily missions, and any classrooms you create or join.

3. How we use your information

• To create your account and keep you signed in.
• To generate quiz questions and explanations on the topic you request.
• To save your quiz history and show your progress and statistics back to you.
• To show scores on leaderboards and, if you join a classroom, to your teacher.
• To operate, secure and debug the service.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.

4. Service providers we share data with

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. We use the following providers to run Quizify:

• Google Firebase (authentication and database) — stores your account and your quiz data.
• Google Gemini (AI model) — receives the topic or document text you submit in order to write the quiz questions.
• Vercel (hosting) — serves the application.

5. Limited Use of Google user data

Quizify's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, Quizify does not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve the features you use, does not use it for advertising, and does not allow humans to read it except with your explicit consent, for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymised.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account and quiz history for as long as your account exists. You can remove Quizify's access to your Google account at any time from your Google account permissions page. To have your Quizify account and its data deleted, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.

7. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in Google Firebase with access rules that restrict each record to the account that owns it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration or loss.

8. Children

Quizify is intended for students and teachers. If you are under the age at which you can consent to online services in your country, please use Quizify only with the involvement of a parent, guardian or teacher.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Quizify after a change means you accept the updated policy.
